Comprising: eight historically accurate scale models in high-resolution, 3D-printed resin.
History: Munitionsfabrik Wöllersdorf of Lower Austria produced the 12kg Brandbombe, a small incendiary aerial bomb, for the K.u.K. during the First World War. Intended primarily for use against flammable targets such as hangars, supply depots, fuel stores, and other light structures, the bomb formed part of the Dual Monarchy’s broader effort to expand its aerial bombardment capability beyond purely high-explosive ordnance. The 12kg type was light enough to be carried in quantity by two-seat reconnaissance and light bomber aircraft and was typically deployed from simple external racks or vertical bomb cells common to Austro-Hungarian aircraft installations.
Operational Use: It was employed on both the Italian and Eastern Fronts, where Austro-Hungarian air units conducted raids against troop concentrations, rail facilities, and logistical targets, using these incendiaries in combination with high-explosive types to increase destructive effect. Aircraft documented with 12 kg–class Wöllersdorf incendiary bomb loads include: Aviatik C.I, Hansa-Brandenburg C.I (including Phönix- and UFAG-built examples), Lloyd C types, Phönix C.I, and UFAG C.I
Note: Images may include digital renderings of the actual 3D designs used to produce this scale model. Each respective scale is customized to ensure the greatest level detail and historical accuracy while factoring the limitations of the printing process in order to produce the most pleasing results.
