Comprising: Four historically accurate scale models in high-resolution, 3D-printed resin.

HistoryThis medium-weight, general-purpose aerial bomb was produced by the Munitionsfabrik Wöllersdorf near Vienna.  Developed to provide a standardized heavier demolition bomb for the expanding Luftfahrtruppen bomber and reconnaissance units.  Its steel body was filled with Trotyl and Dynammon, and featured a lead bleikappe (nose cap) designed to reduce shattering on impact and help ensure detonation against hard targets. It was employed against troop concentrations, rail infrastructure, depots, fortified positions, and 'Gegen feste Ziele' along the Italian and Eastern fronts. The W.B. 40 filled the gap between lighter tactical bombs (10–25 kg) and the larger 50 kg and 100 kg types.

Operational Use: Documented by 1916 onward as Austro-Hungarian air units increasingly conducted systematic bombing raids in support of ground operations and strategic attacks against rear-area targets.  typically carried on external racks beneath two-seat reconnaissance aircraft and multi-engine bombers.  Aircraft types documented to have carried the W.B.40 include the: Albatros B.I and C.I (Oeffag); B.I an C.I (Berg); Brandenburg C.I and G.I; Hansa-Brandenburg G.I; Lohner B.I and C.I; and the UFAG C.I.

Each respective scale is customized to ensure the greatest level detail and historical accuracy while factoring the limitations of the printing process in order to produce the most pleasing results.
