Comprising: Four historically accurate scale models in high-resolution, 3D-printed resin.

History: The 50kg Škoda bomb ranked among Austria‑Hungary’s heaviest standardized aerial bombs during the middle years of the First World War, sitting above the more common 12kg, 15kg, and 24kg classes. It represented the K.u.K. Luftfahrtruppen's push toward true strategic bombing capability within the limitations of the empire’s industrial capacity.  This was a true demolition bomb intended to break rather than ignite structures.  Lacking Germany’s advanced PuW fuze technology, Škoda relied on straightforward impact fuzes with minimal mechanical complexity. The S.B.50 bomb was not sleek by later standards, but its cruciform tail gave it stable fall characteristics suitable for low‑to‑medium altitude bombing.

Operational Use: The S.B.50 typically equipped two-seat reconnaissance and light-bomber aircraft to attack enemy troop concentrations, supply lines, and infrastructure on the Eastern and Italian Fronts.  Machines known to have carried this bomb include the: Aviatik B-types, Hansa-Brandenburg B.I and G.I, Lohner B.VII, Phönix C.I.

Note: Special thanks to experts over at the British Ordnance Collectors Network for their help in researching this bomb. Images may include digital renderings of the actual 3D designs used to produce this scale model. Each respective scale is customized to ensure the greatest level detail and historical accuracy while factoring the limitations of the printing process in order to produce the most pleasing results.
