Comprising: Four historically accurate scale models in high-resolution, unpainted, 3D-printed resin. Available in your choice of 1/32, 1/48, or 1/72 scale.
History: The Austro-Hungarian T.N.B.60 was the larger, more powerful sibling of the 25kg delayed-effect bomb issued to the Kaiserliche und Königliche Luftfahrtruppen. This thick-walled, steel-cased high-explosive munition aided offensive strikes from aircraft against hardened infrastructure targets. It featured a hardened steel penetrator tip (Stahlspitze) and belonged to a series of medium-weight aircraft bombs employed throughout the conflict. Its weight class allowed two-seat reconnaissance and light bomber types to carry and deliver penetrative explosive ordnance during tactical missions on both the Eastern and Italian fronts.
Operational Use: These bombs arrived at the front individually crated and were typically slung under wings or fuselage racks and released visually by the observer or bombardier over targets. Aircraft types documented or structurally capable of carrying the T.N.B.60 include various Aviatik, Hansa-Brandenburg, and Lohner makes, as well as late-war G-type heavy bombers in single-bomb configurations.
Note: Images may include digital renderings of the actual 3D designs used to produce this scale model. Each scale is customized to ensure the highest level of detail and historical accuracy, while balancing the limitations of the printing process to produce the most pleasing results.
