Comprising: Four historically accurate scale models in high-resolution, unpainted, 3D-printed resin. Available in your choice of 1/32, 1/48, or 1/72 scale.
History: Designed to be stowed vertically rather than horizontally like most other British bombs of the era, the 50lb high-explosive bomb was developed by the Royal Laboratory. Perhaps its most famous use was during the Tondern Raid of July 1918, when seven Sopwith Camels flew from the deck of HMS Furious to destroy two German Zeppelins.
Operational Use: Documented to have equipped several aircraft, particularly for the Royal Naval Air Service, including the A.D. Flying Boat; Avro Pike; Airco D.H.4 and D.H.9; Armstrong Whitworth F.K.8; Fairey Hamble Baby; and the Sopwith Admiralty Type 807, Baby, 1½ Strutter, 2F.1 Ship's Camel, and Rhino.
Note: Images may include digital renderings of the actual 3D designs used to produce this scale model. Each scale is customized to ensure the highest level of detail and historical accuracy, while balancing the limitations of the printing process to produce the most pleasing results.
